Driver's License Renewal

Submit current drivers license or required identification (see below).  Vision test and photo taken. Applicants under 18 years of age must have application notarized by parent or guardian.

Note: Our offices do NOT offer written or "behind-the-wheel" drivers license testing.

 

Fees:

• Class A: $41.250

• Class B: $33.25

• Class C: $26.25

• Class D: $22.25

• Motorcycle Endorsed: Additional $13.00

Driver's License Duplicate

Required identification (see below) must be submitted when there is a change of name or address.  A vision test is required. Applicants under 18 years of age must have application notarized by parent or guardian.
Fee: $11.75

Driver's Instruction Permit

Submit valid test score sheet or current permit. If replacing a lost or stolen permit, required identification (see below) must be presented. Vision test taken. Applicants under 18 years of age must have application notarized by parent or guardian.

Required Identification

In most cases you will be required to show primary and secondary "Proof of Identity". Primary documents considered acceptable as "proof of identity" include: Prior drivers license or Identification Card, certified copy of birth certificate, original Naturalization Certificate or Alien Identification card. Secondary documents include Social Security card, certified copy of a marriage record, a certified court order or another primary document.  Please call the State of Minnesota at (651) 296-6911 if you have questions regarding acceptable proof of identity.  If the applicant's current name differs from that shown on the primary document presented, a certified copy of the name change (court order or marriage certificate, for example) must also be presented.
