The City currently contracts with Veolia Garbage Services for pick up of all residential refuse and recycling in the City. The following represents the various levels of refuse service available and the monthly rate for service. The rate for service does include recycling. A new price differential between the smallest garbage container service and the largest garbage container service is intended to encourage waste reduction and increase recycling participation 

By recycling more and producing less waste, residents can take advantage of lower priced service if they switch to a smaller refuse container.  To change your service volume just call 651-429-8565 or send a note with your utility bill payment.

Residents are allowed to purchase garbage cans on their own or rent a cart from Veolia Garbage Services.  Veolia Garbage Services rents 35, 65 and 95 gallon refuse carts on wheels for $2.00 a month to accommodate each level of volume-based service. (Volume-based rates are based on 30-, 60- and 90- gallon service).

The $2.00 per month rental fee for Veolia carts will be credited toward their purchase. Residents will own the carts after four (4) years and no longer be required to pay the rental fee.

Residents not currently renting a cart, but interested in renting an Veolia cart, may call the City at 429-8565 to set up service.

If you would like Veolia Services to pick up any bulky items such as furniture or appliances, please call ahead to make arrangements. There will be an additional charge for this service. To view the price list for bulky items click here.
