Water Quality Cost Share Grants
White Bear Lake is located in the Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD), a special purpose unit of government in charge of managing water resources within its jurisdiction. RCWD offers cost share assistance programs for property owners to install projects that help improve water quality. Eligible projects include native plantings, rain barrels, rain gardens, shoreline restoration, pervious driveways, and others.
White Bear Lake Conservation District
The White Bear Lake Conservation District (WBLCD) was formed by the State of Minnesota in 1971. WBLCD regulates boating activity, construction of docks and marinas, and weed removal on White Bear Lake. WBLCD also partners with other agencies to develop programs to protect and improve water quality. The WBLCD website is another great resource for up to date information on lake level, invasive species management, and upcoming events related to White Bear Lake.
