Municipal elections in White Bear Lake are held in odd-numbered years. Candidates file for Mayor or City Council positions with the White Bear Lake City Clerk during the filing period. City Council elections are non-partisan and Councilmember candidates run for their seats by ward.

The next Municipal Election will be held in 2025 for the positions of Mayor, Ward 2 and Ward 4.
