External Commissions
As a member city of the Ramsey Washington Suburban Cable Commission, the City of White Bear Lake may appoint one Director Representative and one Alternate to the Cable Commission. The commission oversees the cable television franchise for the district composed of 11 municipalities through enforcement of franchise provisions, monitoring customer satisfaction and managing the district’s assets.
As a member city of the Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization (VLAWMO), the City of White Bear Lake may appoint one citizen Technical Committee representative. VLAWMO was formed in 1983 to protect the Vadnais Lake watershed area. The technical commission meets to review and consider watershed business as well as to make recommendations to the VLAWMO Board for wider scope decisions.
Meetings: Generally, second Friday every month at 7:30 p.m.
The White Bear Lake Conservation District (WBLCD) was formed by the State of Minnesota in 1971 with a mission of protecting and preserving White Bear Lake, which is highly valued for its aesthetic, recreational, commercial, environmental, aquatic life and fish and wildlife qualities. The Mayor appoints two members to the board.
Meetings: Generally, third Tuesday every month at 7:00 p.m.
