Collection Days and Holiday Schedule

New residents should contact Utility Billing to ensure trash and recycling collection has been properly established. Or use the online form to set up or finalize residential trash and recycling collection service.

The city is divided into zones which determine your collection day. Collection is delayed by one day on holiday weeks, so if your collection day is Friday within a week containing a holiday, your trash and recycling will be picked up the next day on Saturday.  Follow this link to find your normal trash and recycling collection schedule.

Set out your trash and recycling carts by 6 a.m. on your collection day map and schedule. Trash and recycling are picked up on the same day of the week. Please note that recycling and trash are picked up in two separate trucks. Holidays that fall on weekends do not affect the normal schedule.

Trash Carts

Trash carts are available in 30-gallon, 60-gallon, and 90-gallon sizes.

Cart Placement

Keep containers behind the curb so streets stay clear for City sweepers and snow plows.

Place recycling and trash containers at least five feet away from any structures such as mail boxes, light poles, fire hydrants, etc.

During the winter months, do not place containers on top of snow banks.

Billing and Rates

The City of White Bear Lake bills quarterly for trash and recycling service. Visit the Utility Billing page for more information.
