Event Recycling Containers

Hosting a block party, graduation, family reunion, or other special event? Reserve recycling and food scraps containers to reduce waste. Recycling and food scraps/compost containers are available at City Hall and loaned at no cost to City residents and organizations for any temporary gathering.  Reserve your containers by completing the online form below.
 

Available Containers

These portable containers collapse for transport and come with bags that attach to the assembled frame.

  • Recycling container: portable bin to collect bottles and cans
  • Food scraps/compost container: portable bin to collect food waste and certified compostable products.

Please remember to wipe down the recycling and food scraps containers to remove all sticky residue before returning.
 

Disposal Options

Groups using these containers are responsible for disposal of collected recyclables and food scraps.

  • If you collect a small amount of bottles and cans, recycle them at home in your curbside recycling cart. For larger quantities, arrange for an additional pickup with your hauler.
  • If you are collecting only a few bags of food scraps, you can drop them off at the food scraps collection site at Public Works (3950 Hoffman Road). For other collection site locations, visit RamseyRecycles.com/Food Scraps.

There are two ways to reserve your containers:

1) Call the City at (651) 429-8587

2) Complete the information below to reserve containers for your next event.  You will receive an email or phone confirmation on your order when it has been processed.

Compost containers are portable bins used to collect food waste and non-recyclable paper.
Recycling containers are portable bins used to collect recyclables.
Pick-up Date
Reserved containers may be picked up and returned to City Hall during normal business hours.
Return Date
Containers must be wiped down to remove all sticky residue before returning for the next customer to use.
