Housing Initiative
Recognizing how critical housing infrastructure is to the continued vitality of the community, the City of White Bear Lake has formed a Housing Task Force to create a set of recommendations for housing policies, development priorities and housing related programs for City Council to consider.
The White Bear Lake Housing Task force is a committee of 20 community stakeholders who have been meeting since April to better understand the challenges and opportunities our community faces as they consider recommendations on how to best address them.
As a part of this initiative a two part Community Housing Forum was planned to share information on the challenges and opportunities facing housing today, and later to share the progress of the Housing Task Force and gather feedback on their work. Part One of the Community Housing Forum was held virtually on June 10th, a recording of which can be found at the Community Housing Forum link below. Part Two of the Community Housing Forum was held twice, once in person on September 9th and once online on September 20th.
On November 23, 2021 the Housing Task Force presented their report to City Council. Click the Housing Task Force Recommendations Report link below to read a copy of the report.
